Designed and made in the USAEasy to assemble simple reed switch motor with lots of experimentation possibilities!

It is a perfect learning tool to make first steps into wonderful world of electricity and magnetism. Its unique features make this kit really helpful in classroom education.

This motor is extremely powerful and fast (up to 6000 RPM – see Additional Information tab). The precision of modifications on this motor kit matches the precision of original parts with tolerances up to +/-0.03 mm (this is 1/10 of human hair thickness!). You need such accuracy to achieve stated speed and power.

In addition to all features of a simple reed switch motor this kit includes extra parts:

• Variable speed control that allows to change the motor speed from full stop to maximum speed (and even significantly increase the speed!)
• Second rotor parts and extra magnets for experiments with 2 and 4 magnet rotors

This motor uses standard AA size batteries (not supplied). Included jumper wire allows to experiment with 4 different voltages: 1.5, 3, 4.5 and 6 Volts.

It could be used with most of our experimentation supplies.

Excellent product for birthday parties and other activities or as a gift!

This was a great kit. While my daughter (4th grade) needed a bit of help because some of the pieces fit very tightly together, she was able to do most of the work herself. We purchased the wire comparison kit as well and the Legos made it very easy to swap out the different electromagnets. She liked being able to control the speeds and the documentation really helped her be able to explain how the entire circuit worked. Thanks for making a working motor accessible to younger students!

I want to start off by saying what a great customer service experience I had with this company. We wanted some accessories to add on at the last minute, and they made it happen for us. We did motor kit # 14. It was a little challenging for a 10 year old to do alone. We took our time and followed the instructions step by step. We had done our research prior to the science fair and knew what each part did. We learned how to use a soldering gun and an amp meter which he included in his project. He added a propeller, so he had to make a platform to clear the propeller. He also added an on and off switch. We had the best time with this project. It sure beats the heck out of the solar system!

My daughter built motor kit 13 for an 8th grade science project. She had a total blast doing so(which is always a treat for a mom to see her 13 year old enjoy any type of school work). With minimal help from me, she did a great job and the motor worked as it was supposed to. Not only was building the motor a great experience, customer service from this company was also handled perfectly. I contacted Serge P. directly via telephone and he was easily reachable and extremely helpful and willing to answer any questions I had. From start to finish, this was a wonderful experience for both my 13yr old daughter as well as myself, her mom.
I thank you so much for your help and service. I would and will highly recommend this website to anyone in this market.
