Adding a simple generator to your motor is the best way to demonstrate how electrical energy is converted to mechanical energy, and then back to electrical power. It is also a helpful tool to measure and calculate torque and efficiency of your motor.

Electric generator kit consists of the high quality industrial electric motor with precious metal brushes, hardware for connecting it to our motor kits and light emitting diodes (LED) – regular green diffused LED and a super bright red LED which is 300 times brighter.

If you plan to calculate the exact efficiency for the motor you built you might need to add a second generator kit for true comparison.

This generator is designed to work with motors built from the kits #2, 4-6, 8-9, 13-14, and included with kit #10.
Please note that it does not work with conventional motor kits #15-17, QuikLock kits #11-12, and may not generate sufficient power with kits #1, 3, 7.
