A set of 2 ceramic disk magnets (grade 5 or 8).
Size: 0.5″ (12.7 mm) diameter x 0.2″ (5 mm) thickness.

All of the magnets provided have one of the poles marked with either a letter ‘S’ on the South pole or a dimple on the North pole, and come with white glossy labels that may be glued to them.

Grade 5 or 8 ceramic magnets have stronger magnetic flux than grade 1 magnets, which are normally sold in stores. This provides more reliable reed switch / Hall effect switch operation.

These magnets are used in all motor kits (except kits #12 and #14) and recommended for motors you build yourself.
