How different colors mix together? What color do you get if you mix 2, 3 or more colors? How to create a rainbow using only 3 basic colors? What visual effects spinning wheel can provide?
If you want to understand how color TV, computer monitor and printer produce brilliant images using only 3 primary colors – this is an introduction kit that is a nice application for the motor kits on this site and might be a good beginner level science project by itself.
Color mixing kit works the best with the motors built from kits #1-9 and #13-14. These kits allow easy changing of colored disks in your experiments.
If you built a reed switch motor (from kits #1-4, 8, 9) it is also recommended to add a variable speed control kit – it allows to change the speed of the motor enhancing some visual effects.
Color Mixing Kit contains 32 preprinted colored disks and 16 empty templates on heavy card stock paper. If yow want to experiment with your own colors you may use different computer templates on included CD that you can edit with graphics program of your choice such as Microsoft Paint.
Kit includes double sided foam mounting dots for easy replacement of the disks in your experiments and instruction manual on the CD.
This kit is a part of the kit #10.
